Are all personal trainer certifications created equal?

Simply put: no. Initially, most certifications required a practical exam in addition to a written exam.  Now anyone who wants to become a personal trainer can pay a nominal fee and take a test online.  The applied component is lost when only requiring online testing.

What sets NASM  apart from other certifications?

The OPT model, incorporation of corrective exercise, movement screens, and looking at the body as a whole by including self myofascial release (SMR) , core and flexibility.

What sets the ASM Wellness PTP apart from other certification programs?

Class content that uncovers all of the layers of being a successful personal trainer, along with actual hands on experience.

Our students get supervised, hands-on experience working with us for 18 weeks before completing the program.  Can you describe what you feel makes this uniquely valuable to them, as compared to an “on-the-job” learning experience?

Learning in an environment that simulates the training side of personal training.  The students can start their personal training career with hands on experience which could really boost the students confidence and help them feel prepared to start their personal training career.
