Lois Kaufmann, Licensed Master Esthetician and Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics student instructor, has been accepted into the first ever North American Eyelash Extension Competition in Las Vegas. The competition is sponsored by NEESA, (National Eyelash Education & Safety Association) and will be held during the International Beauty Show, June 21-23, 2014.
The competition includes 3 categories: Classic, Volume and Fantasy Lashes. Lois is 1 of 12 contestants chosen from an international pool of applicants. She studied under two Russian Volume Master Lash Artists, both of whom encouraged her to participate in competitions. Each contestant had to have a current esthetics or master cosmetologist license and proof of liability insurance. A documentary film about eyelash extensions will capture contestants on stage applying eyelash extensions. “It’s so exciting to have this opportunity. I look forward to meeting more talented lash artists in our rapidly growing industry.” said Kaufmann.
Lois is founder of The Lash Extension, located in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Lois trained and became certified as a Top Lash Stylist in the Advanced Technique of Volume Eyelash Extensions from the Lash & Brow Design Academy (of Moscow, Russia) from Irina Levchuk, President and innovator of the 3D Volume “Hollywood Eyelash Extension” technique. After graduating from the Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics Instructor Program Lois would like to start an eyelash extension school and work on legislation for an eyelash extension license.
