Interview with Yano Anaya, Atlanta Personal Trainer Program, Director

Posted on: August 18th, 2015 by Admin

What Career Paths Can You Take With Your NASM Certification?

Yano Anaya: As a National Academy of Sports Medicine, (NASM) certified personal trainer, (CPT) you can train anyone world wide. What separates the “Atlanta Personal Trainer Program” is the extensive in-class lectures, labs, and the essential hands on experience. As a graduate you receive an APTP CPT and Fitness Nutrition Specialist, (FNS) certification that never expires, and after you pass your NASM proctored exam you receive an NASM CPT and a certificate of distinction. You may ask, ” what is a certificate of distinction?” This will set you apart with the recognition of attending a “real school” instead of just an on-line certification.

Personal trainers work in a variety of settings:

  • Gyms
  • Hospitals
  • Clients’ homes
  • Outdoor boot camps
  • Corporate wellness departments
  • Working with amateur/professional athletes and athletic teams

How is Your Career a Part of Your Own Lifestyle?

Yano Anaya:When learning the science behind manipulating the human body to get a certain result and seeing those results come to fruition I knew I wanted this path as a career. Exercise is part of everyone’s daily life. How we choose to view exercise and/or movement will determine that value we place on it. It has been proven and continues to be the number one preventive medicine against disease. Here is famous quote that always inspires me to continue to motivate myself to know in my heart that my lifestyle is my career.
