What are your long-term goals?

I want to motivate and inspire other people (but especially moms who were former athletes) to chase their dreams and set goals and meet them. Success comes in so many different forms. I now coach my teenage sons winter recreational basketball league. I have for the last 3 years and it is so amazingly rewarding! I love it. Ultimately I plan on getting my CSCS and specializing in Senior Fitness (65+) and Golf Fitness Training. Senior fitness is where my heart is.

How do you use digital communications for marketing and engagement?

In the long term, I would like to be able to reach people online through my website via FaceTime or video. That would allow me to offer fitness support, accountability and motivation for them to keep getting healthier and reaching their fitness goals. I’d like to be able to demonstrate exercises on live streaming video and just work at doing what I love. So many people give up and have to start over! I was one of those people. Every New Years I would say I’m going to exercise regularly- but by the end of the year I was maybe going to the gym to spin my wheels on the cardio machine once a month. So I’ve been there. It’s a long hard road but WORTH every minute!

Currently, I have 5000 friends and followers on Facebook, which is the limit. So I’m starting a fan page on Facebook that allows unlimited friends. I have over 100 pending requests and on average per day on Facebook. I have 885 followers through Instagram. Ultimately, I want to have an online social media presence as a fitness competitor and model and gain a following of a million fitness fans. I am working towards that goal.
