Dominicka Teague, Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics student
About a year ago I went to a spa for the first time had a facial done and a hand and arm massage. It was wonderful. Some months after that I went to an esthetics school had a facial done; and the esthetics students asked me questions about my skin care regimen also my eating habits. She educated me on what I was doing wrong and advised me on the proper way to take care of my skin. I knew that day that I wanted to learn about skin care and educate people especially young people on the importance of proper skin care.
Not long after that I started researching esthetics schools. There were a couple of things that I was looking for. I needed a part time program because I work full-time during the day and affordable, high standards. I found a couple of schools that had a part-time program but only one school offered a part-time weekend program which worked perfectly with my work schedule. When I went to visit Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics I found out that it was a green school, they used an organic skin care line, organic waxing products and have high quality filtered water coolers throughout the school. I thought to myself wow nice bonus. So I enrolled in the Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics and now I’m starting the third module of the esthetics program.
